ROLLER DERBY FOR A CAUSE! Drop by the Derby Depot on Saturday, February 28, 2026 for a roller derby double header hosted by the Wasatch Junior Rollers (WJR) and Wasatch Roller Derby (WRD)! The Juniors will kick off the event at 4 p.m., followed by an adult mixer bout at 6:30 p.m. In addition to two roller derby bouts, the fundraiser will feature prize drawings, merch, and more!

A LITTLE ABOUT APOLLO
If you’ve ever set foot in the Derby Depot, you’ve likely crossed paths with Apollo #89. This My Chemical Romance-enamored athlete began their derby career as a junior with the Wasatch Junior Rollers (WJR). Upon aging out/graduating from the juniors program, they began skating with Wasatch Roller Derby (WRD), and a short time later, Apollo was elected as co-captain for WRD’s travel team, the Midnight Terror. Apollo’s skating skills extend far beyond flat track derby; they are also a talented ice skater, banked-track wunderkind, and all-around awesome teammate. Off the track, Apollo is a gifted illustrator and burgeoning tattoo artist.
Unfortunately, Apollo recently sustained a major knee injury which now requires surgery to repair. This dedicated dynamo gives their all to derby here in SLC, and we want to return the support. We hope you’ll help us put the FUN in fundraiser on February 28 and bring Apollo one step closer to ACL surgery!
